What's new at Pets in the Classroom this year?

We have a new database and we've also updated our application process to make it even easier to apply for a grant. New this year:

  • We will need both your school and home address and contact information. We will be sending all store grant materials/coupons to your home address, in order to get the materials to you as quickly as possible. Please be sure to verify that all of your contact information is correct.
  • Please make sure to enter your complete school name. Do not use abbreviations or enter your school district. We need this information to verify whether you are eligible for the grant.
  • Be sure to add lisa@kingmgmt. org and lauren@kingmgmt.org to your "safe senders" list so that you don't miss important information that we send out via email.

Pet in the Classroom has awarded over 90,000 grants since the inception of the program in 2010. This means we have enriched the classroom experience for over 3,000,000 students across the U.S. and Canada. To learn more about the benefits of having pets in the classroom, click here.

Once you have received a Store Grant or a Rebate Grant, you are only eligible for a Sustaining Grant in subsequent school years. Sustaining grants are meant to help with the maintenance and upkeep of your current pet, but may also be used towards a new classroom pet if you no longer have your original pet.
